UK Ocular Oncology Conference 2019

The UK Ocular Oncology Conference 2019 will provide a comprehensive overview on all topics in ophthalmic oncology. This is the first ever UK meeting, providing clear and concise information on best current practices in the diagnosis, investigation and management of every type of cancer you could potentially encounter as an eye care practitioner.

A comprehensive programme

This is a 2-day conference. Day one will cover eyelid, orbital as well as paediatric tumours with talks from leading national experts. Day two will cover ocular surface and intraocular tumours, with speakers from all 4 designated national ocular oncology centres. Topics such as genetics, histopathology, radiology, management of metastasis, and breaking bad news will be covered by national and international experts in the field. Learn from leading experts

The Ocular Oncology Conference 2019 will be useful for trainees in Ophthalmology throughout the country. There will also be opportunity for trainees to give short oral presentations related to ocular oncology and win awards on both days. This conference would also be useful as an excellent refresher to established staff grade and consultant ophthalmologists and allied eye care practitioners. This event will gain you 13 CPD points.

Gala dinner

A gala dinner is being organised the first day evening to celebrate the contribution of Professor Rennie to ocular oncology and ophthalmology. He established the Sheffield Ocular Oncology Service 32 years ago and has been a pioneering influence in developing ophthalmic oncology care in UK. The evening would be a perfect opportunity to unwind between two hard core days of knowledge.
